20th Division, which included the 11th Rifle Brigade battalion of 59 Brigade, arrived in France in July 1915. In August they went into the front line for the first time in the Laventie sector in the section running from Fauquissart to Petillon. During the month the suffered their first casualties one of whom was Edgar Willson who died from wounds on 30th August. |
